Well after the immense success of #bookbucketchallenge in facebook, let us start the #moviebucketchallenge... Rules remain the same... Here goes my top 10 movies in no particular order: The Shawshank Redemption ( because hope is a beautiful things...) The Godfather trilogy ( Some superb acting by the likes of Marlon Brando, Al Pacino & Robert De Niro...crime was never so glamourous as when accompanied by the haunting tunes of Nino Rota amidst the Sicillian countrysides) The Dark Knight trilogy & The Prestige ( the best works of the modern master, Christopher Nolan ... 1 had the best supervillain of all time.. ) V For Vendettar Vendetta ( V has to be my favourite character who never took off the mask! & blowing up the British parliament!! Wow!! ) Roman Holiday ( The greatest of all romances... Audrey Hepburn stole my heart forever... Gregory Peck , the man I aspired to be.. ) Star Wars ( For Master Yoda the Darth Vader , those light saber battles... may the force be with you always... ) Se7en & Fight Club ( 2 of David Finchers best... cant talk about the latter coz that would violate the rules of the club... But se7en surely has to rank among the greatest thrillers of all time...) Pulp Fiction ( The number of times I have watched the monologue by Jules... :D ) Sholay ( Coz its the baap of all westerns) Rang De Basanti A generation did wake up.. All the civil society demonstrations & candle light marches that we have seen in India in the recent times has been possible only coz of this movie) PS: I would have been more comfortable if asked to choose somewhere around 50.The list doesnt include the movie I have watched the most number of times , The Lord of the Rings Trilogy , coz I am too partial to the book. Thanks Mriduchhanda for tagging me. I now pass on this this thankless task Subho Dim Dip , Parijat Sen, Nirban Basu & Srinka Mukherjee
