Well as we all know this #nomakeupselfie phenomenon has gone a long way in getting people interested in raising money for different cancer charities and hopefully got people checking their areas ;) e.t.c. At 1st I was quite discouraged by the amount interest in the selfie and thought well Ive been trying to raise money and awareness for The Institute of Cancer Research for nearly a year with hardly any interest. BUT after a request from Rob Duggan that I should humiliate myself with a make up selfie in return for donations to my chosen charity I decided to embrace the phenomenon and get more exposure for my fundraising exploits. The GREAT news is it worked wonders and I gained £295 extra donations from it and great exposure for my Mount Kilimanjaro Trek in aid of The Institute of Cancer Research with nearly 200 likes for a very embarrassing photo. lol. Id like to thank Rob, Lena Kempson, Kate Palin, Kate Lucas, Wazza Smith, Sharee Foyle Smith, Daniel Preston, Daniel Hamilton, Sandra Chinn, Jenny Noakes Was Townsend, Hay Ley, Lucy Cusack, Joanna Taylor, Damon Hughes, Sara Casey, Chris Ashdown, Dale Clark, Sinead Clark, Sinead Bishop, Julie Casey, Hayley Harwood, Jason Ramsay, my future wife ;) Shenesse Lawson, Sam Lowe, Maj Asif and the other anonymous donations I received on the back of my make up selfie and since the cancer selfie started.
