Well, had an irate customer go up one side of me and down the other at work today. He sent in 2 tools for me to repair. These are 2 types Ive never repaired before. Not a problem it can repair any tool made. I sent his tools back to him a couple of weekend ago. They were older tools and had never been cleaned. So after I repaired them so I totally cleaned them and the cases they were in. I dont like to repair a tool and send it back in a dirty case. You picked up that Ive never repaired these models before. He comes in the store looking for me today. He says whos Dave and I said that would be me. Well he comes undone at the front counter. He knows these arent his tools because the tools I sent to him are a lot newer. He complained that I also had cleaned the cases. I told him I totally dismantled the tools and cleaned them. His argument is the tools I sent back to him are a lot newer. I replied, that I cleaned everything and they look a lot newer. Now I have until Friday to turn over his other tools or hes taking me to court. I tried to explain to him politely what I had done to his tools and cases. By now hes on full screech and wouldnt listen to a thing I was saying. I was trying to stay professional and do my job. I told him I didnt know what else to tell him. Then he goes to my boss and rips into him. So after he leaves my boss calls me off to the side and says. The guy said the tools you sent back to him were a lot newer and the cases were cleaned. He says, WTF is this guys problem. He gets newer guns back and cleaned and hes complying. I told my boss that I stood there at the counter and stayed professional and stay calm. I said I will give that round to him. But, if he comes back and starts on me again the outcome is gonna be a lot different. I said, Im giving you fair warning now. He backed me into a corner and you only get one shot at it. Next time Im not gonna be nice about it. My bosses reply. thats what Im afraid of and walks off. Im still shaking my head about his argument, the tools you sent back are a lot newer than what I sent you and the cases were cleaned. Hmmmmmm! Any comments anyone?
