Well, here goes Derek. TRACK 1 This tune falls within my first memories of music along with the tornadoes and, I think, crying in the rain by one of the legendary female voices of the early 60s. These songs could be heard loudly coming from behind the closed door of what was my older sisters bedroom as they were getting ready for a nights dancing at the legendary Ballroom, but King of the road seems to have caught my attention more than most as I remember trying to sing it and questioning the lyrics. My sisters bursting into hysterics as I explained that Union Jews had never been mentioned by my bible teachers!! The track, however, brings back early memories of playing in the street as a small child, going to the palace cinema and generally living that carefree life of a child. I hope it brings back nice memories for you all too.
