Well, heres something exciting. On February 3rd next year, the British Library will display together the only four known copies of the first edition of Magna Carta, granted by King John at Runnymede in 1215. Im working with them and will be presenting the exhibition on the day. And you can win tickets to come along. This is a once-in-human-history event. It is very unlikely that the four copies of the charter have ever been together before - not even when Magna Carta was granted. So this is a huge moment. It is also fleeting. Two of the charters belong to the British Library, but the others belong to Lincoln Cathedral and Salisbury Cathedral, so they are only on display for A SINGLE DAY. There are, therefore, only 1,215 tickets available, which will be distributed by public ballot. I urge you to enter this ballot. Not just because youll get the chance to come and shoot the breeze with me, but because this is something no one else in 800 years will ever have seen. Magna Carta is *the* iconic document in the Anglophone world, and its history and legacy are of urgent importance today. The exhibition is sponsored by Linklaters and is made possible by the kindness and collaboration of Lincoln Cathedral, Salisbury Cathedral and the British Library. Thanks, and best wishes, Dan
