Well heres that update I was talking about! So at this point my Dts has been crazy awesome! Im getting to experience God in ways I wouldnt have ever expected or even known about had I not experienced it here, although I wouldnt say any institution is the answer to problems but it is veeery much a vehicle and God has used it for me quite so. Ive got to do a bunch of awesome street witnessing along side my lecture phase of which I am still in and will continue to be in until I go to Spain for outreach at the end of December and the beginning of January (Thats right, imma spend new years on a plane or in spain, and to top it all of they rhyme!) Plus looking back at all of what my supporters has done juxtaposed to the rest of the students AND faculty have here is crazy! I mean Gods working for them too and theyre getting their financial needs knocked out too but most of them are just now getting their tuition paid off and that only includes the scholastic phase of the Dts, aka Lecture Phase. I dont mention this to diminish their efforts because theyve all been total die hards after their tuition and outreach fees and theyre even taking measures I would have been procrastinating about had I been forced to do so, but Im blessed because you, my supporters through prayer and finances and garage sale donations and whatnot, have gotten me to where I came here with full tuition costs in hand AND outreach costs paid for! Now, the dilemma is this: While I had all the money when I got here I only had enough on the dime and that didnt include living expenses like laundry and tooth paste and the times we would eat out and all the little things that snowball, but that doesnt diminish that I am the second most funded person here, or maybe the first! This includes staff and students as well because everyone has to pay for outreach because it costs money with or without missions. What Im trying to say is this: you all have done a fantastic job supporting me and Im crazy grateful about it, and even though the main purpose of me writing is an update and all, its also an invitation to help me out through prayer and finances because at this point I am roughly $200 away from having my outreach paid off and Ill probably need another $200 or $300 for expenses afterwards because things are EXPENSIVE in Europe, plus well be doing a lot of public transportation being that our van shall be back here in beautiful Houston texas. So yeah, just be sure to pray for me and maybe even give me some donations if thine Lord doth lead you to do so. ALSO: Im gonna be making a brief support video and posting it here and maybe even having it played in a church but if you just wanna knock out the rest of my debts now and save me the trouble that would work too ;D But in all seriousness, when you pray for me or donate or contribute in any way to any kind of missionary for Christ youre actually contributing to the missions field in a way that blesses God equally to what I or any other person doing missiony stuff is. I heard this analogy where its like a person is stuck in a well and the missionary is the person grabbing their hand and pulling them out, but their supporter is the one lowering that missionary down in the rope and bucket, so if not for me contribute to somebody. The great commission is every Christians responsibility and your partnership is a full half of the whole prospect, and seriously its just as much about prayer as it is money if not even moreso so dont give anything you arent convicted with giving.
