Well it has been a VERRRY long day. Almost 10 hrs in surgery! They removed dads voice box and had to do a lot of reconstruction to his throat due to the past radiation. They had to remove his left chest muscle and put it in his neck because there was so much damage from before. They got all of the tumor removed and will be checking the margin to make sure they got all of the cancer. We should hear back about that within the next week. Hes in icu now and they are keeping him sedated. While I feel like the end result will be good, he looks so bad right now and it breaks my heart to see him like that. I breakdown every time I go back to see him :( Thank you so very much to everyone who kept him and my family in your prayers! Thank you for all the posts, texts and calls to check on him! Ill post more tomorrow once hes awake to update everyone.
