Well, its a cold Friday Night. So, lets talk about: ABSOLUTE DEPENDENCE John 15:5 says, Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches....For apart from me you can do nothing. Listen now, a Christian life is a life of absolute dependence. Listen at this, I saw a tree with a lot of vine that sometimes bore a lot of clusters of grapes. People were amazed at its productivity but later the secret was discovered. watch this, not too far from the tree flows a creek. The vine had stretched its roots hundreds of yards under the ground until it came to the creek bed (stay with me). Listen, there, in all the nutrients of the river bottom, it found rich nourishment and moisture. the roots drew the sap all that distance to the branches. The vine had the work to do. The branches simply had to depend upon the vine and receive what it gave ( are yall still with me). watch this, that is exactly what Jesus Christ desires us to understand. Jesus Christ desires that in all our work, the very foundation should be the simple acceptance that Christ must care for all. Listen, as we depend on Him He supplies our needs by sending down the Holy Spirit. Jesu wants us to be dependent as we serve Him. Listen, day by day, hour by hour, in everything we do, simply abide before Him. Live in the total helplessness of one who can do nothing. Let me close with this: Absolute dependence upon God is the secret of power in work. we have nothing unless we receive it from Jesus..AMEN..I pray as always hoping that my posts are a blessing and helpful to someone.
