Well...its been an emotional day...probably the most emotional day since my fostering w LIBR began. I have been thru 7 months of heartworm treatment, restricted activity, hurting, healing, training, companionship and love with my Ellie Belly. Today she got wat she always deserved...a loving, warm, protective family. While I considered keeping my girl, I know my living situation; single, no kids or other dogs now w breed knowledge makes me an awesome foster home...so when Patty Carlini McLachlan found Tasha Bernstein Collins and family, I knew, while my part of my heart would go with her, letting Ellie go was the right move. Now I sit on my couch without my girl but with a very happy kitty who has licked my tears away...and thru texts, videos and pics I have been part of Ellies arrival home, stair practice and now sleeping on her wobba. I cant possibly thank u all enough for having gone on the 7 month journey w me or for the many posts, comments, texts and calls of support and love I have gotten along the way. I keep this quote close to me....Saving one dog wont change the world, but surely for that one dog, the world will change forever. We are ALL part of that change and I couldnt be more proud of wat we all do for bully nation everyday. I need a week to regroup and then Im sure Miss Patty will have another lovebug who needs me.
