Well just got home from the long drive from Doncaster.Just an insight for all of the clubs supporters on Facebook.Masher Dodd was cruising in his Central Area Super Featherweight Title Fight tonight and had won all the early rounds... Crowd Trouble erupted and the bout was halted to try to calm things down ... I even had to leave the corner and appeal to the crowd on 2 occasions to calm down! This interlude allowed the under pressure Andy Townend to rest and regain his composure and he was visibly calmer after the break... Whereas Mashers Concentration was the effected and his focus lost! I dont know whether it was The Doncaster Crew who started it or The Birkenhead Crew but I do know Doncaster started throwing things to cause BEDLAM!!! Good job there was a lot of Security on .. Anyway this SCENE DEFINATELY gave Townend an advantage ... However he did catch Masher with a good shot and with Dodd being a bit too brave for his own good decided to fight fire with fire and got caught again... He went out on his shield ... Just a little more Ring Savvy and Cuteness and The Mashman would have weathered the storm... But in all his short Career Dodd has only Contested 28 Fights (Amateur and Pro) so is very fresh and will learn a hell of a lot from this and gain him some very valuable EXPERIENCE .... The Ref told me Mash was well up at the time of the Stoppage... Mash will have learned a big lesson tonight and will come again.... And the crowd (only a select minority) can now learn a lesson or dont come again! .... MASHER DODD HOLD YA HEAD UP HIGH SON..... EVERYONE IS BEHIND YOU XX
