Well, now that I have a little down-time here in Portlandia, I can fill you all in on all the little details my dreary and desultory morning as you all wait with bated breath, Im sure. Average morning, made coffee, looked out of my unimpressive hobo domicile.....and 6 away.....reclining comfortably, was a large rat. He looked at me, twitched his whiskers and looked away unconcerned about the large pink bipedal ape that gawked at him. Now...I am a Friend Of All Things Rat, and consider myself in good standing among those who hold sway in the court of Rat Kingdom, so I asked him; Uhhh...you all right, buddy? You sick? to which I got no reply, nor expected one. Just calm, peaceful Rat-Zen vibes emanating from him like a furry little Buddha. I watered a tree, came back and he SAUNTERED away....not scurried, not scampered, but casually SAUNTERED away and gave me an over the shoulder glance as if to say, Later, bud. I may have to become more assertive with my forest friends, my reign of dominace is slipping.
