Well our Yellow Jackets took hard one on the chin tonight falling to Dorman 45-17. What amazed me, was what I saw unfolding right in front of me. The temperature was registering 33. We only had one heater and it only heated maybe 4 sq feet. (Ill admit, it was cold.) I was on the field most of the 2nd quarter and all the second half. As Dorman kept scoring you could just see our incredible year slipping away, both on the clock and on our players faces. What most did not see was the change our school and community has made over the past couple years. As the game became apparent it wasnt going our way I watched as students, didnt leave like years before. I watched them stay and cheer our team who this year had given them so much to cheer for. The Dance Team and Cheerleaders continued to cheer and root on their team. When we scored at the end of the game you would have thought we scored the go ahead touchdown. It was different and I was proud. Proud of our team, proud of our coaches and proud of our school. Ive had a great year being the President of the Gridiron Club and look forward to where the club can go in the future. Thank you players for the effort you put forth this season. To all the Seniors... You have paved the future of this team to live up to. We may have lost the battle, but the war on dominance has just begun. Anyone beside me ready for 2015 season to begin.... God I love High School Football E
