Well talking about Half Girlfriend, reminds me of, in the first part Rockstar - An Imtiaz Ali Film and then Highway. With more than a gap of two and half years. i didnt expect such a thing from Chetan Bhagat. The most catchy part of the story is the prologue. I will state it as one of the most impeccable prologue i have ever read. The time when Madav Jha says, Because Riyas dead can bring a paroxysm down the spine. Few of the most snappy lines which ameliorated the plot is: 1. Deti hai to de, varna kat le. 2. I cant quit, sir. Its not in my genes to do so. 3. I think girls actually believe guys can casually place their arm around them with no further ideas in their heads. 4. Losers get word from girls; winners get kisses. The first 130 pages being quiet predictable, but dont worry theres a twist, which rather holds backs the reader. In all, Bhagat has maintained a stratification in the story but on the contrary, it failed to bring the fervourness, rather the plot is very filmy,as if he has started to write only to convert it into a movie. Me, being one of the biggest fan of Chetan Bhagat is forced to say that Revolution 2020,,has that charm but somewhere down the track Half GirlFriend dissapoints. :/
