Well...there certainly arose such a clatter...up on the roof. It wasnt 8 tiny reindeer, though...it was 4 hefty white tail deer...two took the jump off the south, and two others ran down the pantry roof and down the hill...so I took my flashlight out and had a talk with them...told them I was glad they were all well...but to please stay off the roof. They seemed okay with that. They wandered slowly off into the woods. Dont know what caused them to spook up on the roof, though...perhaps the wind? One of the cats?
