Well this is the first time Ive been able to sit down and really take a breath. I want to thank every single person that came to support Braylee Saturday. I have to admit it was a damn good time! Awesome people, kick ass band, amazing food, hot bikes, and hot cars......oh let us not forget the auction with its really fun bidding wars! I am truly humbled by people that not only donated money either through donations, bids, or purchases but also the awesome people that donated their own personal family time on a Saturday. It swells my heart to know that Braylee bug has so much family that love her both blood related and adopted. Ive always lived by the motto that blood is thicker than water but love is thicker than blood. There is no way possible for me to make this post and tag or mention every single person that I would like to personally thank so Im just going to mentions some folks and some groups and if you could help me out by tagging those that you know were there. FIRST AND FOREMOST thank you thank you thank you to the ladies that work at Coastal Pain Care with my wife. Most people dont know this but those girls not only came up with the idea to do the benefit but they also set everything up and coordinated almost ever single aspect of the event. Crystal and I never would have done something like this on our own. You ladies will have a place in my heart and if you EVER need Heath Nequent for ANYTHING all you have to do is ask! To the band My Beautiful Disaster, I love you guys so damn much. You guys really are the definition of what a band is supposed to be. You kept us entertained and you kept the party going for everyone. You even allowed me to get up and make a fool of myself by singing some tunes including a very special song, that you learned just for that event, that I sang to my beautiful little girl. I will treasure that moment for the rest of my life. Tara Latil Ken Hale Ron Sons and Donny, if you didnt already know this you have a brother for life and again ANYTIME you need me or my family all you have to do is ask and we will be there! Thank you to every single person and company that donated items for the auctions. To the owner of The Honkey Tonk, Derrick, and all his kick ass staff that was there. I cant put it into words how much we appreciate everything that you did for us by letting us borrow your place for the day! This would have been a flop without you guys! To my Maverick family..........honestly I cant say enough about you guys. Yes I know that it was Rooster and Betty Boop, Dina Warren,s grand baby but I know that as a probationary member you guys would have been there for me as well. The Maverick motto is Freedom, Fun, and Brotherhood. Saturday you all showed me that you guys truly live by that motto. The Maverick creed is I am my brothers keeper and by showing that love and support you truly showed that as well. Im sorry if I wasnt able to greet and personally thank everyone individually Saturday, but if I missed you THANK YOU! Next round is on me! Clark Teague, Torrie Teague, Michael Stephens, Sara Stephens, Amber Whackado Johnson, Cliff Brew Johnson and everyone else I missed. A special thanks to the Maverick Ladies for all of the pies and baked goods and for spending the time to sell them Saturday. A big time thank you to Greg Nash, Misty Slaughter, and Bob Hohensee for taking charge of the car and bike show. Greg you kept track of the donations and had everyone parked and entertained while I ran around crazy all day. Omar DaGato Hernandez thank you for driving all the way from Houston to support my daughter. Amado Compean and the guys from 4 Ever Rollin Car Club for coming out and showing some love. Thank you to my little brother, and Braylees God Father, Jason Jinkerson that left his sick kids at home with his poor wife to come out for the benefit. From making store runs to judging the show for us you were freaking awesome little brother. Thank you Tig and Brew for putting the poker run together. I wish I could have made the run because I hear it was a beautiful ride! Chad Nequent Darriel Nequent, Rhonda Rabalais Nequent thank you guys for keeping up with money and auction totals. Thank you Cynthia Thompson and Christina Shackelford for getting the trophies engraved and ready for the show! Big time thank you to Jarrett Belk for donating the actual trophies. Thank you to Austin Zumo and the Zumo family for donating sausages for the BBQ. I know there are a ton of people Im missing so if you know of someone I missed please tag them. Make sure all the Maverick brothers and sisters get tagged please. Now for the moment youve all been waiting for.........THE GRAND TOTAL FOR ALL MONEY RAISED JUST FROM THE EVENT SATURDAY IS........$10,905 DOLLARS!!!!! We were 95 bucks shy of $11 thousand dollars! Folks I cant tell you how much Crystal Nequent, Braylee, and I appreciate that! The Bible says give and it will come back to you........I hope it comes back to you all ten fold!
