Well tomorrow is the day! Tomorrow Thursday the 22nd of January is our last official trading day. The store will be shut for the following 4 days so we can hand over to the lovely new owners and reopening Tuesday 27th with amazing, motivated, excited, energized Ginnie & Sal serving up a storm! Katsu and I have 16 years of many wonderful memories. We have met amazing people, we have learnt a lot, we have the most beautiful customers and we have had the pleasure of wonderful people working for us. Being a small family business our staff have become friends and our children think of them as The Ikeguchi Crew who we will always know and love. Friendships have been formed over many hours of choosing stock, merchandising all hours, wrapping gifts, eating sushi, drinking sake and singing badly!! (those photos are tucked away) And we thank all the wonderful talented artists, designers and suppliers that we have and thankyou for your products, without them our store doesnt exist ... And I have been lucky to have meet my gorgeous best friend through a trade fair many years ago ... always listening, always supporting ....and Katsu also says thanks for talking to me on the phone so much so he can watch Japanese TV! Big thankyou to both of our families who did so much for us in the beginning, lots of baby sitting, lots of support & encouragement when we were so new to this business ...
