Well, we end the year much as we started it............ with a weather warning!! The Met Office has issued a YELLOW Warning of WIND valid from 1100 hrs - 2100 hrs on Thursday 1st January 2015. Very strong southwesterly winds will develop along some Irish Sea coasts and across north west Wales from late morning on New Years Day (Thursday), extending across parts of southern Scotland and northern England in the afternoon and evening. Gusts of 50 to 60 mph are likely, especially around exposed coasts and to the lee of hills. On some high-level routes, gusts may exceed 70 mph. Heavy rain will also affect many areas.
