Well we had a long weekend in the village, but very productive. We met with three contractors for pricing on our dock project, which will have to start in about a month because of the water height on the river and lagoon. I am waiting for call backs now from them and I will have to go back to Belize for the project around the end of April now, to work with the project. We had a ruff weekend in the village with Taylor getting 26 battle wounds.. LOL Everything from Sunburn to Ant bites, Mosquito bites and Scrapes from the Maya Temples.. Then the village did not have any water because of a new water tower that was being built... I dont think anything else could have gone wrong.. but wait, it did. While driving back and fourth from Indian Church Village to San Carlos village, there is a lot of pot holes on the dirt roads, well me being from the northeast and driving on dirt roads when I was young, was going a little too fast and hit a pot hole, no wait a huge sink hole (LMAO), and when we stopped and looked at the tire in the passenger side rear, it was at a 45 degree angle instead of 90 degrees... I bent a small piece of steel that supports the top of the wheel. I took it to the Mennonites to have it repaired and they were all laughing and joking about it. Well after about one and half hours of repair of just straightening the steel out, they only charged me $10.00 us.. INSANE... I did learn one lesson from all of this though, never buy a Jeep Patriot.. They sure are made cheap these days.. and happy for rental cars.. Now we are off to Belmopan for more meetings and to visit a friend and then out to San Pedro Island for some rest. Doing all of this with a severe case of Sunburn on my face and forehead thanks to my friend Antonio Novelo for the boat ride on Saturday morning..
