Well, whether Sita was the daughter of Ravana or not, the fact - TopicsExpress

Well, whether Sita was the daughter of Ravana or not, the fact remains that there are various versions to her story, because her real parents are not known. So, ive tried to fetch some information as to how she came into this world and what happened with her. SO HAVE A LOOK. Theres a version which says that Sita was found in LOTUS in the Royal Pond of Ravan, when he was fascinated and wanted to adopt the baby, a celestial voice was heard saying that this baby is going to bring destruction to Lanka and hence Ravan reluctantly wanted to get rid of this baby and ordered her assassination. Later the baby was hidden in a Wooden Box and was thrown in the Ocean, Mother Earth took her and kept her safe. She was found by King-Janaka while he was performing pooja of Earth and performing a ritual ploughing the field. But the stories of Sita being the biological daughter of RAVAN and MANDODARI; or the daughter of Menaka doesnt fit in with the sanctity and majesty of Sita. Shes believed to be the incarnation of none-other-than Goddess Lakshmi. Sita and Rama being the incarnations of Aadi-Lakshmi-Narayana. On a spiritual plane Sita is said to be a representation of a being and Rama the representation of GOD. A being is happy as long as his focus is on GOD. But when the being is distracted and attracted to the Glitter of the outside world, he loses the side of GOD. Hanuma represents the breathing. By controlling ones-self the being can yet again reach GOD. RAVAN represents the body and his TEN heads represent FIVE organs of ACTION and FIVE organs of PERCEPTION, (eyes, ears, skin, nose and tongue = sense-organs). Another explanation I heard somewhere that Sita represents GODDESS and Ram represents Being. Whatever might be the delusions by GOD to test the being. The being isnt supposed to run behind the glitter. GOD (Sita) is then captured by Organs-of-Action and Organs-of-Perception and the being Ram wanders around weeping and battles to reach the GOD. One of the explanations I heard about WHY Krishna had to go and fetch Rukmini was because Rukmini actually ORDERS Krishna to come and take her since in Ramayana Rama sends her to woods after hearing nasty comments from one of his subjects.
