Well worth the watch. 7 min Common Core presentation by former Principal Carol Burris who was once given the award of principal of the year for the state of New York. She is speaking about the Common Core Assessments for both NY and Kentucky and how arbitrary and unfair the test results were. She starts out showing the little video clip that New York had done in support of Common Core showing a plane flying still under construction and the happy workers and the poor passengers inside not seeming to mind at all with the crisp minus 60 degrees air blowing in their faces. The children are smiling through the window. When it it supposedly done, the workers get to fly away on parachutes. Those inside the plane dont get to leave. The parents noticed that and were not too impressed by the video. Carol Burris states that it may have been up to 60,000 parents who opted their children out of the testing last spring in New York. Carol says that New York is like the canary in the coal mine. Their state should be a warning for all other states to also opt their children out.
