Installation, testing, & commissioning & routine maintenance of FM hard services Systems which are included in the contract with the client. • Participates in the planning, design, tendering & evaluation of FM hard services. Provides technical and administrative support and coordination to the installation, testing and commissioning process. • Reviews the execution of maintenance work to ensure the compliance with policies, procedures & standards Reports and reviews work progress, issues and concerns with superior and follows-up as required. Interfaces effectively with personnel from within & outside the Unit in order to address issues related to FM hard services systems within the scope. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Plans, schedules and reviews the day-to-day operational and maintenance activities related to the provision and monitors operation of FM hard services systems to ensure optimum performance of systems and equipment 2. Organizes, controls and guides the installation and regular maintenance of all electrical appliances, tools such as electric kettle, vacuum cleaner, drill machines etc. in assigned project 3. Plans, schedules & reviews the day-to-day operational & maintenance activities related to the commissioning, testing, calibration, provision, upgrading, modification and maintenance of MEP system, equipment in the Project. 4. Participates in establishing the MEP maintenance & operational strategies & guidelines in alignment with the Region’s policies 5. Participates in tender evaluation & negotiation as required; periodically reviews work of Contractors & follows-up as required 6. Monitors, reviews & controls periodically the administrative activities within the Section such as fixed asset verification, stores verification, OT deployment, staff appraisal, call-out attendance, records verification as well as vehicle & equipment utilization etc., & reports to immediate superior as required 8. Prepares & submits routine and special reports such as maintenance schedules, operational & incident reports, accident reports, technical reports, volume of activity etc. 9. Keeps updated of new technology, systems & developments in specific area of specialization 10. Reviews drawings, accepts new buildings and installations and liaises with HO and Contractors on rectification of snags 11. Participates in the preparation of annual budgets pertaining to capital works, administrative capital items, operations and manpower to ensure continuity and smooth flow of work operations 12. Interfaces effectively with personnel from both within & outside the Unit such as other Engineering Sections (HO & Regions), local government agencies, Electricity Department, as required 13. Undertakes full responsibility of all equipment in his/her area 14. Supervises and motivates staff to ensure an acceptable level of performance. 15. Expected to demonstrate a high level of commitment to providing a safe working environment for all staff in accordance with the company Health & Safety (H&S) procedures. 16. Expected to ensure that all defined services are completed in accordance with the company quality procedures.
