West gate – two wrongs can’t make a right. It’s true we are not one but were temporarily made to be by that tragedy. When people die on Kenyan soil, whether they are Kenyans or not, we mourn the loss and unite against those who defile our society. Yes our leaders are responsible for the inequalities and the oppression amongst us but we don’t ask these questions when people are in distress. That is why we R asking those questions now – why R we 1 only when there is a crisis and why can’t we remain 1 to sort out the mess in our society. It’s the ordinary people who must ask & answer these questions bcoz the lords of impunity & magnates of corruption have no problems. They turn us against each other and divide to rule us. We must address our own shortcomings as a society rather than want to celebrate a disaster like Westgate. It is ungodly, in-human & un- African to do so and amounts to a misplaced notion of using a wrong to correct another.
