Weve got a goodie for you! THE MERCENARY will be running here until February 26th as part of our Spaghetti Western Series, brought to you by First National Taphouse. This Sergio Corbucci cult classic follows a greedy mine owner targeted by an idealistic patriot named Eufemio for his wrongdoings. Eufemio hires Bill Douglas, a gun for hire to incite a revolution to oust the ruling Government and mine owner. Jack Palance plays the opposing mercenary tasked with taking out Eufemio and Bill. Highly recommended. Also, fun fact -- Franco Nero, who plays Bill Douglas is pretty much the unheralded king of Spaghetti Westerns (he was the original Django in a series of movies made wayyyy back in the day, and makes a cameo in Tarantinos loose re-interpretation). Anyways! This plays Fri-Sun at 4:30 and Mon-Weds at 7:15.
