Weve got good news and bad news. The good news is that the cancer is not in the soft tissues (lung,colon, liver, etc). The bad news is that it is in the pelvis, hips, femurs, knees, spine, ribs and sternum. Im already taking the anti estrogen medications so that will stay in place. Ill be getting infusion of Zometa monthly to build up my bones. Were probably going to do some limited radiation to try to decrease the pain in the left hip/pelvis especially. Ive gotten some new pain medications to start tonight and are all hopeful that within the next few months the pain will be more tolerable. Im a tough broad so I dont plan on this taking me down any time soon. In fact, my oncologist was amazed at how much Ive been doing after he saw the bone scans :) Im thinking about getting a copy of the scan so that if I need to Kickstarter my mortgage payment I can silk screen t-shirts of my skeleton! Thanks for all the love and support, if I knew I was gonna get such cool swag Id have had my cancer come back sooner (just kidding :) )
