We’re hoping for a Christmas miracle for Buddy. Buddy has spent the last 6 years living on the streets in Bridgeport. He’s an older cat, maybe around 8 years old. Homelessness has taken its toll on him. He has lost his hearing, has the scars of many cat fights and the person who cared for him recently passed away. A friend decided to catch him so that we could get him to the vet to be checked out. Buddy’s health is actually excellent other than the hearing loss. He was professionally groomed today to make him nice and clean. He rolled over and purred in the water as he was being bathed (trust me, cats don’t do that). He was already neutered meaning he probably had a home at some point in his life. When my friend caught him and set him up with a warm bed for the night, he purred while he slept. He must have been so happy to finally have a comfortable bed again and not have to worry about something attacking him while he slept. We would love to find either a permanent home for him or at least a foster home. Buddy is nervous around other cats (because of how often he was picked on by neighborhood cats) and would do best a home that would understand that he startles easily because of his hearing loss. He just needs a home with a warm bed and a comfortable lap to sleep on. He is currently located in Bridgeport, CT.
