What are your money saving tips? #icaewpersonalfinance Keep track of your spending Regularly check your online bank statements to check how much you have spent – sometimes there may be card payments which you may not remember making. Have 2 bank accounts – work out how much money you have to spend each week and transfer it into the second account every week. This way you can keep track of how much you have spent every week and it’s harder to blow your budget in one week. Use a weekly budget planner (try the Money Advice Service planner on icaew/personalfinanceresources). You can see how much money you have spent on certain things and how much money you can take into the next week as leftover money. It will also help you work out future costs as you can use the figures from the past to predict future expenses. Write down everything you buy or every cost you incur.
