What Happens In A Healing Session With DrNorma? In addition to Reiki, I use several modalities of alternate therapies in my sessions, so in this, my treatments are quite unique. When a client comes to me for the first time, they will be asked to read over my “client information form and disclaimer”. This simply states that the client is advised to seek professional medical advice for any symptoms, and that I am not qualified to diagnose any such symptoms, physical or psychological. The form also requires name, address, phone #. I may ask for specifics as to why they are seeking this form of therapy. To begin the session I will use the pendulum technique of dowsing to evaluate and locate any physical imbalances in the body and discuss how we might correct these imbalances. The client remains fully clothed throughout the session, and will be covered with a blanket as people tend to cool off quickly in a very relaxed state. I will begin doing Reiki on the head area and move over the body, working on the torso, joints, feet, and back. During the session, I may be given insights with regards to the client as to underlying causes of their symptoms, or deceased loved ones may come through for a visit. I may be given glimpses of past lives that have a direct influence on the present life of the client, or I may see guides or other energies that have direct impact on the client’s life or present issues. Most clients feel relaxed. Some fall asleep, some feel like chatting. Whatever the client feels and experiences is exactly right for them, and part of their healing process. I may incorporate other modalities such as aligning the body with NHT (natural healing techniques, which is another class that I teach), sound therapy, aroma therapy, magnetic therapy, etc. The symptoms being experience will determine the exact form the session takes. Many clients come to me because they are experiencing a life crisis, or uncomfortable life situations. My sessions are often counselling in nature and advisory in ways of dealing with the client’s life issues and stress levels. As a Doctor of metaphysical science, and natural health consultant, I am qualified in this field. It should also be noted that Reiki heals on all levels and includes the mental/emotional. To complete the session, I may use a massager on the back area, or place the Tibetan singing bowl on the back to align and balance the chakra system. This can also help in grounding the client. Sometimes clients will feel “loopy” after a session, so I may do a couple grounding techniques, have them drink some water, or eat a cracker if they are having trouble grounding. I advise the client on what they may experience following the session, and this will of course depend on the particulars of the session itself. However some common after effects me be physical or emotional release, feeling tired, feeling like the symptoms are worse, or they may feel more energized. Each individual has their own unique way their body heals, on each level, and therefore we cannot compare one to another. In most cases within a couple days of the session the client will notice considerable improvement, though subsequent sessions may be advisable with some chronic conditions. I may advise other forms of treatment or modalities that might continue to assist the client in their healing. Perhaps a Reiki healing attunement or taking the Reiki Level 1 class will help them, or seeking out other practitioners and modalities may be advisable. At this time, I charge $50.00 for a session which lasts about an hour and a half. I work out of my home based office located in Warman. For 2 years I trained with a Dr. of Kinesiology, who developed the NHT program. In 1994, I received my certificate as a natural health consultant through Stratford Career Institute (Toronto). I began working with Reiki in 1996 and completed the Master/Teacher level in Jan/98. In 1999, I began a degree program in the Science of Metaphysics. In June/00, I received my Bachelor Degree, Diploma in Metaphysical Counseling and Ministerial Certification with the University of Metaphysics, (state of Ca.). In Feb/01, I earned my Masters Degree, and in Nov/03, I received my Doctoral Degree in Metaphysical Science with my dissertation on alternate therapies, based on 2 yrs. of research working with clients. (This is a theory based degree similar to a Dr. of Religious Sciences). I am also trained in Angel Therapy, and it was while studying these techniques that I learned of my ability to connect with discarnate energies. In fall of 2006, I learned the Theta Healing Technique which elevates and empowers all modalities of healing work. Late in /06, I was initiated by Llama Madi Nolan, (a Buddhist monk) and taught the ancient healing techniques of White Lotus. By combining these various modalities, I have developed a unique form of therapy which is designed to fit the needs of each client on an individual basis. I currently provide consultations and training in metaphysical techniques, Reiki and natural healing through my business, Crystal Spa & Wellness Studio located in Warman, Sask.
