What I liked about my time on the Peninsula, was the multi culture of our classes at School, as kids, we didnt see the colour or funny name, we just saw class-mates, and became friends, never knew any racism...and still dont because of it. Also, the fun you had as a kid, no Xbox etc, you made a cricket bat out of scrap wood, Test matches lasted over a week, you were gone all day, but you behaved, because the housewife police :), some-ones Mum always knew YOUR Mum, you either walked or rode your bike, exploring 40 acres, or the River, the list goes on. Thanks to all whom are posting on here, many great memories, some sad, some forgotten but gradually coming back.:)
