What a busy week it had been for Yolanda victims in Matag-ob, Villaba and Merida. One hundred 150 household beneficiaries underwent training on hog raising. The same people got 2 piglets each and initial bags of hog feeds. Within the next three months , another 400 beneficiaries will get the same package across Western Leyte (including Ormoc City). Backyard piggery is just one of the livelihood packages World Vision is giving away to 7,000 households. Other interventions include broiler and layer production, goat and native chicken raising. Crop production and skill-based trainings is another thing. Over 2000 beneficiaries will have the opportunity to train with TESDA to equip themselves with skills so they can compete in the labor market. Thanking God for World Vision International and the opportunity to be part of this humanitarian endeavor.
