What a tough end to a great run for the Lebanon Gold All Stars. Fought hard, but lost 14-4. Sam came in to close and had two home runs hit off him, the last one a three-run bomb that invoked the mercy rule. He took the loss pretty hard, shouldering the burden of the whole game. I told him I couldnt be more proud of him if hed thrown a thousand strike outs. He consistently hit the ball hard, did not strike out in 9 games, and had a strike to ball ratio on the mound of 4 to 1. We dust off and move on, praising God when we win and praising him when we lose.
