What a traumatic Sunday. We were woken up by Bella making some funny noises at 5.15 am. Long story short - she was having a stroke. Managed to get her to the vets by 6.30 am and she confirmed that it was a stroke. She administered two lots of diazapam within half an hour and Bella started to relax. Her eyes were still not focussing so she could not see us and that was freaking her and us out too. The vet rang back at 930 to say Bella was much calmer and she would call us at lunchtine. She duly did and said Bella had had some food, water and a little walk although wobbly. Needless to say we were bereft as we thought it was goodbye time and just cried. Good news - she is at home again and although wobbly a bit, seems like her old self and her head is no longer on one side. Lots of prayers from our church and friends. Praise the Lord for that.
