What a wonderful day I didnt know existed until now--Happy Aunties Day! My sister, Carol Allen (Love Is In The Stars) is the BEST auntie in the world to my boy. Carol and her husband decided a long time ago not to have children, and Tosh and I have reaped the benefits of that 1,000 times over. My favorite line of hers: Thanks for having our kid! How amazing is that? She cares that much about his well being, his present, his future that she thanks ME for allowing her to brighten our lives. It melts my heart every time she says it. I dont know how I got so blessed, and am grateful Ive never had to be a mother without her constant care! To all you aunties out there, thank you! And to all you mamas, be sure to give a little love to those women in your life--blood or not--who see your kid(s) as part of their family. xo
