What an amazing weekend of true rugby camaraderie with the SA Rugby Legends Association at the Drakensberg Rugby Club in Winterton---very special indeed. SARU really need to experience these remarkable Club Rugby gatherings in the country districts. The Legends beat the boys from the Berg 31-28 IN AN ABSOLUTELY ENTERTAINING GAME OF RUNNING RUGBY enjoyed by some 2,500 spectators. and proudly sponsored by John Deer---CLUB RUGBY AT ITS BEST. Thanks to Joos Solms, his son Josef aka the Winterton Express and the most wonderful community in Winterton and surrounds. Made many new friends as well. Jonnson Jonsson College Rovers Old Boys Bennie Trevor Boynton, Pieter Jeremy Dixon, Stefan Terblanche, Josef Solms, Justin Ferrow and of course Ian Mac were part of a fabulous weekend. Sorry I couldnt be at the Rovers annual awards dinner this year but duty to club rugby took me to the mountains. Congratulations to Peter Guy Rodseth, Jeremy Ferrow, Piet de Jager, Dave Shorts Hooper, Kevin Kevin Carolan, Lynn Carolan, Sam Vermaak and the unforgettable late Dr. Kevin Laser Taylor represented on the evening by son Julian Taylor. Together we toast one of the true loyal rugby men that passed through the club. CLUB RUGBY FOR EVER LONG MAY IT LAST AND PROSPER. To all the clubs always remember the legends that took your respective clubs to where they are now. From me THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES and have a fabulous week all.
