What are the goals of the club? Our goal is to create and build a foundation for Big Island Water Polo in order that we may grow the sport as well as each individual player. In order to obtain our goal we will strive to reach the goals of the players whether it’s to just have fun and learn a new sport or to work hard, improve, and push past self-set limits. What will I be doing in the club? We will be holding practices every week these will include dry land training, a nutrition course, and pool training (scrimmaging, technique work etc.). You may attend all or one of these as it meets your needs and availability. We will also be holding fundraisers for traveling trips, scrimmages, and (if needed) equipment (suits, caps, etc.) Who can join the club? ANYONE of ANY age is welcome to join the club. THE MORE PEOPLE, THE BETTER. We will be accommodating to the differences in age, skill, and goals of each individual player by breaking into groups but will also sometimes be working together. What does it cost? I am doing this for FREE so please take advantage of it. The only cost you may encounter is if you are not a student at Kamehameha and this will be a small pool fee and USA waterpolo insurance fee. Where will it be located? The club will start at Kamehameha Kea’au. As interest grows however we may be available at other locations. If transportation is an issue, please message us and we may be able to work out a car pool situation. How do I get started? Add Polo Wai as a friend on Facebook to express your interest.
