What baffled me about the confab is that do we really have good representatives? All the delegates are millionaires. They are not suffering at all. They are all living fine. How will they defend the interest of the poor masses. OPC leader was included and no muslim cleric from south-west do our leader are sensible people at all? Senator Rasidi Ladoja does he know anything about islam at all. Thosr who were chosen has already preempted thefailure of the national conference it is just to enrich the delegates. They all have money to sponsor themselves to abuja, if they are true citizens & they want nigeria to move forward they should participate wothout collecting kobo, to me it is just that our govt is too extravagance in spending if they can invest #7b in youth empowerment it will go along way. Some citizens need less than #100,000 to start a biz yet the govt gave them #1m each for obly accommodation what kind of ibhumane govt and leaders do we have? I expected the govt to have invited the professionals in various universities who have written many books on the intended objectives to proffer solutions to our problems and not the selfish politicians and tribes. They should give the masses chance to contribute directly via sms,twitter,and even live telephone calls at regular intervals.And also govt should not be biased on final conclusion. My own solution is that we need all to possess these qualities if truly we want nigeria to remain one: Godfearing,sincerity,loving each other irrespective of the tribe, treat other s equally, true judgement, free from bribery & corruption, stop embezzling govt money, gove posts to the competent personnels not on ethnic relation, wish to give to the society and love of the poor.
