What do you all think? #AmericanAirlines canceled my minor childrens flight for some unknown reason from their connecting city. I got the call that their next flight would be tomorrow morning. I rejected this and told the agent on the phone that they are 15 and 13. She told me there was nothing else she could do. Come to find out, there was another flight leaving 4 hours later. My children were sent to this gate and placed on standy, all the while we are communicating with the airline stressing the fact that they are minors. Long story short, this airline that will never ever see business from me again, allowed 24 other standby passengers to board ahead of my minor children. I called customer service and was told, in a nutshell, that their policy doesnt care if they are minors or not. If we didnt pay for the service, then they have no standing at all. This is the FIRST year we allowed them to fly without the service! What are the odds of this happening, and when does common human decency prevail?! These are children stranded in a large airport overnight! Never ever again will #AmericanAirlines see a dime from me. BTW, the customer service lady on the phone had absolutely no customer service skills.
