What good is the wisdom of a way of living that no longer exist, ones understanding must match the the current position that we find ourselves in. Would you let a physician from the dark ages bleed you to cure your fever or use the maps of people that thought the world flat, believe in the magic from bygone ages to understand the workings of the world around you. There is of course value in the thoughts of those that have come before us, but that knowledge must be adjusted to match the current flow of information.
