What happens when you obey God and things dont turn out like you planned? Or when you do everything you know to do and you find yourself frustrated, discouraged or even disullusioned? Know this, youre not alone! Every person with the courage to step out on faith and trust God has at some point, or will eventually experience moments of frustration, dissatisfaction or dissullusionment. Have you ever found yourself asking...how long God? Or, Lord when will things ever change? Lord you promised in your word but nothing has changed...sound familiar? Read the following carefully, Moses experienced these same feelings first hand... Exodus 5:19-23 New King James Version (NKJV) 19 And the officers of the children of Israel saw that they were in trouble after it was said, “You shall not reduce any bricks from your daily quota.” 20 Then, as they came out from Pharaoh, they met Moses and Aaron who stood there to meet them. 21 And they said to them, “Let the Lord look on you and judge, because you have made us abhorrent in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to kill us.” 22 So Moses returned to the Lord and said, “Lord, why have You brought trouble on this people? Why is it You have sent me? 23 For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done evil to this people; neither have You delivered Your people at all.” Now let me translate... Lord, I did what you told me to do, and all thats happened is trouble. Things have not gotten better but worst, much worst! I trusted you, but you havent done what you said you would do! Child of God, trusting Gods word takes courage! Dont be afraid to come to the throne of grace God boldly, not arrogenly in unbelief, but humbly, expecting to receive the grace you need to stand firm. When you approach God, approach Him in faith. Faith is what He responds to. Talk to him through His word, not whinning and complaining. God is not like men, He cannot lie. He will do what He says He will do. We have to trust Him and resist frustration. These feelings of frustration have their origins in the spirit of fear! Satan is fear. Satan doesnt have fear... he is fear... the fear that God wont keep his word comes out of the kingdom of darkness. God hasnt given you the spirit of fear, but the spirit of power, the spirit of love and the spirit of a sound mind. Remember, we have a great High Priest, the Lord Jesus, who understands what its like to be us and was tempted on all points yet never gave in to sin. Jesus is praying for you right now! Hebrews 4:15 New King James Version (NKJV) 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. The Holy Spirit will help you. Lean on Him. Release your faith today as you pray in the spirit. The Holy Ghost knows exactly what needs to be said. Trust Him as you pray, believing that you receive what you need to overcome every feeling of frustration and discouragement. The God in you is bigger than any circumstance you find yourself facing today. I challenge you to trust God and come out from UNDER that circumstance and REIGN OVER it. In Jesus mighty name! Romans 8:26 New Life Version (NLV) 26 In the same way, the Holy Spirit helps us where we are weak. We do not know how to pray or what we should pray for, but the Holy Spirit prays to God for us with sounds that cannot be put into words.
