What has happened to the AGAPE/unconditional love of God in our lives? Come on Christians! We sit around scratching our heads and wondering why we are not blessed…! Why the promises and power of God is not flowing in our lives…! Go back! GO BACK and READ Mat.6:12-15 again !!! You can speak all the faith you want to. You can do all the great deeds and bless others, BUT if you do not forgive others in the same way God forgave us, in our most miserable state of being…., you can hang all the rest of it up ! 1Cor.13 go back and review all the past conflicts, strife and all the hurts you have experienced, and see if there’s even the slightest possibility that you may be harboring any unforgiveness, grudge or ill feelings or lack of love towards anyone! Mat.6: 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Come on! Go back and remember the gratitude you felt when you were saved. If you did not feel gratitude you better stop right where you are and go back to the cross because you did NOT ‘get it’! You missed the whole point of Christ’s death on the cross !!! He DIED because we didn’t deserve it! HE DIED because we were lost and going to hell and couldn’t do anything about it ourselves! HE DIED because He loved us in spite of all our sin, mistakes and stupidity! We should receive that with a measure of gratitude that grips us to the core of our soul and never forget it! When we hesitate at forgiving others because of the wrong, the hurt and offence, the ridicule and persecution they have inflicted on us, thinking, “It’s just wrong!”, feeling that they should make it right! GO BACK….! “But you don’t understand, they hurt me!” GO BACK….! Remember, what they did to Jesus, remember what we did to Him and He still forgave us! If we don’t forgive we can forget the promises of God working in our lives! You can forget the blessings, the favor and the protection of His grace! NOT only this, but God makes it clear that if we do not forgive others THE SAME WAY Jesus forgave us, we put ourselves in jeopardy of that eternal separation from God! God will hold us accountable to our original DEBT to Him…DEATH/wages of sin!!! I challenge anyone to stand up and try to twist the meaning of this passage of scripture!!! Please, DO NOT just skim over this, READ IT prayerfully! Mat.18:22-***35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.*** Read it again and again until you get it branded in your spirit! Know that forgiveness is a greater issue than all the faith-filled word and deeds you’ll ever say or do! BECAUSE it means nothing without the AGAPE/unconditional love of God for others!
