What is the meaning of an offering? Every offering you give - TopicsExpress

What is the meaning of an offering? Every offering you give reveals what is inside your heart. Through your offering, you show what kind of relationship you have with God, your love, dedication, and your consideration towards Him. Only those who one day had a true encounter with the Lord Jesus can truly appreciate the greatness, the glory, and the importance of giving your tithes and offerings. The previledge of being a tither and give offerings is only given to a few. Many people do not know the true meaning of giving in order to receive from God, especially because it is associated with the greatest sentiment found in a man?s heart which is faith. The Bible is full of examples of people who were simple and humble and also people that were rich and important. Both equally had great pleasure in offering something to God. Many did so because of gratitude, moved by love, or just for the pleasure of helping out. Luke, an evangelistic doctor, wrote, 'Now it came to pass, afterward, that He went through every city and village, preaching and bringing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with Him, and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities?Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons, and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod?s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance' (Luke 8:1-3). The truth is that when a person finds the fountain of salvation, they cannot contain themselves. That is when a process begins of giving themselves as an offering for those who are lost. That is exactly why an offering is considered holy, even though there are many different types of offerings that can be given. But they are all given with one purpose: they represent the offering God gave to save humankind!
