What is the state going to do with those anticipated proceeds from selling pot? If Sen. Mike Baumgartner has his way, hire my police. Baumgartner says his intent is that $25 million a year from pot excise taxes would be used to pay for 250 new law enforcement officers. If you were in state government what would you want done with those excise taxes? Besides, of course, completing the North-South Freeway.
