Like i know it changed american lives and made them prosper… But i cant think of any other o-kay answers lol so if anyone can help me out there ill be glad for some help Answer by Lianne It was important because it changed the economy forever. Small shops were threatened because of fast and cheap mass produced products. Trading with other countries also became heightened more so than before for the obvious reasons. Even culture changed. The Industrial Revolution also allowed printing to also rise and this made way for people who otherwise would have not have access to books (since they were very expensive before, and thanks to the printing press they became more accessible to people) , so obviously literacy rates became higher but not completely high since the gap between rich and poor was also stretched. However, during this time a new class formed, the middle class people. The living conditions for the poor were terrible, child labour, diseases (beacuse poor people [often workers of factories] lived in cramped spaces with other workers) as well as little to no hope to gain a better lifestyle, since those who were on top payed very little money to the workers, while they themselves got richer. Which inspired theorists such as Karl Marx, the founder of communism to act against the inequality that he experienced during his days. etc etc etc.. Leave your comments below!
