What we know about Windows 10 for Phone so far -WPLOVER - It will be called Windows 10 (not Windows Phone 10). - The developer preview will be released after Feb 1 2015, others (people who dont enroll) will receive it later, maybe August. - All Windows Phone 8.x will be upgrade-able to this OS. - Windows 10 flagship device will come later this summer. - Windows 10 will bring Lumia Camera 5 to all Windows Phones regardless of them being made by a different OEM. - Low end phones might not be able to enjoy all the features of Windows 10 but will get it nevertheless. ---------------------------------------------------- FEATURES AND CHANGES * New start screen design which will show pic in background as well as tiles. * More actions in Action Center. * Individual notifications can be removed from Action Center. * Skype built into the messaging app which is update-able. * New settings interface with categorization which looks really neat. * Subtle changes in Cortanas positioning when showing search results, she also integrates into maps now. * When a message ghost notification appears on top of screen, youll be able to reply to the message there and then without opening the messaging app. The keyboard which will appear will be move-able. * Messaging app will receive a complete revamp in terms of design. * Precision stick on keyboard for accurate word flow typing. * Option to speak and automatically type messages. * Call data and history app will also feature a redesign. * No duplication in Photos hub anymore, photos will be automatically enhanced as well. * Office app to feature a redesign and get new features. * Outlook to get complete Word Engine. * Newly installed apps will appear at top of app list. * Truly universal apps. As you might have noticed, most of these changes are quite subtle and may appear minor, but its the little improvements like these which account for a complete and innovative experience.
