What would I, an only child Know of sibling rivalry And a bitter brother On a mountain top But I did go visiting I drove through desolate landscapes I waded through a river that wasnt I dangled from a precarious rope And reached the barren top There I was In the midst of the frenzy In the peak of the fervour Among bodies you could touch And line your eyes dark I licked my palms clean from the cloying sweetness I washed my hands off the brown jaggery I soaked my feet In pools of the summer rain And there among the teeming tonsured heads Each like the full moon That we once gazed at Together I saw you
