Whats the flaw in this idea? Max wants to go to college in Boston. Hes not sure what he wants to study. Instead of going to tour a bunch of Boston schools, how about if he just applies to a reasonable number (including a reach and a safety choice). Then, he when he gets his acceptance letter(s), he tours. If he gets accepted to more than one, he tours both (all), and then makes the decision. In other words: No touring before applying. Then he doesnt have to get heart-broken if he doesnt get into his first choice. Also: I dont have to cart him around to schools he might not even get into. This seems like sound logic to me, but it isnt the way its done.... Help me see my error, chums.
