Whats your stance on creating a charter city in the Philippines? Its quite similar to special administrative regions, for example, Hong Kong - in China - means one country but two different economic and legal systems. Economy of the Philippines has many burdens - FDI restrictions, high taxes bureaucracy, labor laws, therere problems with rule of law. Why not to create a city thatd be situated in the Philippines but will be free from all these problems? This city will have no FDI restrictions, very low taxes, officials with customer-centered attitude to all businessmen, both foreign and domestic, no minimum wage and other incentives to attract businessmen and employees. This city will help to decongest NCR and create a new center of economic activity in the country. Instead of going abroad as OFWs and suffering there from xenophobia and even violence, millions of Filipinos will be able to go to this new city and prosper, while living in Motherland, together with relatives. Not only people in this city will prosper, but also the entire country cause it will create additional demand for goods and services. Also itll help to create new Filipino companies operating both domestic and globally. Do you want such city to be created?
