When Christmas!™ is all over, and even if you got what you wanted, you realize that nothing has changed. You’re still you, your context is still your context, and whatever thorn in your side is still there. Christmas!™ has changed nothing, not a bit, and all you’ve got to look forward to is a Rockin’ New Year’s Eve with Ryan Seacrest. Christmas really did change things, and it absolutely does have meaning–for everybody. But Christmas really did change things, and it absolutely does have meaning–for everybody. Jesus really was born, he really did live and–please understand me on this–at the very least inspired millions of people to at the very least care about someone besides their own selfish selves. That is a birthday and a life worth remembering, even if you don’t buy into the whole tremendous cosmic and eternal ramifications of Jesus Christ that I buy at full retail price plus commission.
