When I arrived in the heart of Austin the other night my trusty panel colleagues for SXSW Eco had already been out earlier in the evening to Whole Foods Market to get a few supplies for breakfast. And this was the egg container that I spied a little earlier on the bench. Had to share the story of the eggs that has been so sweetly penned all over the container. Along with The Mist Egg-cellent News on the Planet Insert in the carton. What a great publication and amobing the update in Petunia the chicken foraging in the long grass. To Jack Balistieri at Vital Farms thanks for telling your girls and your story with their eggs . This is the level of farmer consumer engagement we need to help change peoples perceptions and connections with the food system. And above all else it is fun FUN fun and there aint enough of that these days.
