When I look at the LNP, all I see is showbiz conservative, high drama, radical, Republican style politics. All flash, No substance, No policies, theyll say whatever will get the public to vote for them. Desperate. Wanting for proper leadership. Petty. Vindictive. Even a bit racist. Mean spirited. Short sighted. I wonder if the rest of the world thinks that about all Australians now? That weve fallen down the same shithole the Americans have, into bitter political infighting, cheap tactics to gain votes, gerrymandering, corruption, and the misconception that one is above the law as seems to be happening in several instances. Not to mention the blatant disregard for laws and UN conventions we agreed to, if you make an agreement, you stick to it, if you break it, your word is worth nothing, thats also a rule of business and considering how business oriented the LNP seems to be, it just flies in the face of everything to claim that what were doing to refugees is not a really bad idea internationally, not to mention that little issue of what is considered ethical and moral. Then theres the fact that large numbers of people arrive here legally, but once their visas expire, a large portion stay in the country illegally, these people outnumber asylum seekers at more than 10 to 1, yet interestingly, nothing much is done about them. I smell Hypocrisy and a thinly veiled excuse for Racism. The Rorting, Ashbygate, The Credlin drunk driving charge that her bestest buddy George Brandis asked in a letter to the judge for her to have the charges dismissed, Asylum seekers being mistreated (nothing justifies dumping these people on an island in the sweltering heat in the middle of an Australian summer, if you wouldnt do it to your family, can you justify doing it to anybody else?). What will it take for people to realize that theyre either highly incompetent or evil? I was nearly sick when I saw that Greg Hunt just casually waived the protected species status of Great White Sharks, just for the purpose of a cull, theyre not even pretending to be fair or democratic anymore, they are ruling over us, rather than serving this country and the public interest. Hell, they even openly show their contempt by meddling with Gonski, so that private schools get to benefit, whilst public schools get practically nothing by comparison. I dont think that was the intention of Gonski, and it kind of sounds like theyre discriminating against the working class to me. I voted for Labor, actually, I voted for an array of micro parties that were the ideological opposite of the LNP, all of which whose preferences flowed into Labor, because unfortunately, they are the only alternative, because people are too stupid to take anything but those two parties seriously. Does Tony Abbott and the LNP hate this country so much he wants to turn it into just a cheap copy of America? Seems that way to me.
