When I was about 9 or 10( early 70s) my mother was taking me to the library(the old one). We went down Halls Ferry and cut across to get to Drummond down a street that had a steep hill. I think Division??? It has a stop sign right in the middle of it now. That day we were right behind a guy who had come down the hill just as a very little girl ran into the street. He ran over her and stopped with her still under the car. We stopped of course. The guy was laying in the street holding that little girls hand as they both cried. I heard she lived but I dont know if that was true or just what Mama said. Does anyone remember this or know what happened to the girl? I have always wondered. This incident is why there is a stop sign now.
